The 黑料正能量 is excited to offer a unique learning experience for our 7th and 8th grade students - the STEAM Team. Students who are interested in hands-on, project/problem based learning experiences might be an ideal fit for this team.
Students interested in joining the STEAM Team at Morgan Road Middle as a 7th- or 8th-grade student during the 2024-2025 academic year are invited to attend the MRM STEAM Team Expo Night on March 26, from 6 to 7 p.m., at MRM.

The STEAM schedule has both a whole group project and skill building time and traditional content blocks. The key is that there will be flexibility in schedules based on the authentic experiences and will vary but will contain both transdisciplinary pieces and times with traditional content classes.
Yes, we are seeking a diverse group of students who would like both some traditional courses while experiencing transdisciplinary authentic projects.
Yes, the schedule for the STEAM team will involve and encourage the opportunities for all students to obtain advanced math and science courses.
Students have full control and choice of what happens after their middle school experience. Currently, this could include the Project Lead the Way pre-engineering pathway, many Career and Technology Education Programs and the traditional course selection and development process.
