My Ride K-12 Parent App
The 黑料正能量 Transportation Department is excited to announce new measures to enhance student safety and security with the introduction of a dedicated website and mobile app. These tools will allow families to access bus route information, receive real-time alerts, and eventually track school buses in real-time.
As part of a pilot program, LCSD students in grades K-5, as well as ENL and Special Education students, will receive RFID cards to scan when boarding and exiting buses. These cards, along with detailed bus route information and instructions for using the app, will be sent to families prior to the start of school. The My Ride K-12 app, available for both Apple and Android devices, is designed to ensure students never miss the bus again.
The app provides secure access to each student’s bus stop location, route details, and pick-up times. With Tyler Drive GPS now installed on every Liverpool bus, My Ride K-12 can leverage geolocation to provide users with accurate bus arrival times while offering the district real-time data to further enhance transportation safety. In addition to route information, the app is used to send alerts and notifications regarding delays or other issues that might impact a student’s bus schedule, ensuring that families are always informed and prepared.
Parents can use a mobile device, tablet, or desktop to view this information. or download the My Ride K-12 app for iPhone or Android app see QR Codes below).
Tyler Drive GPS
The 黑料正能量 is focused on providing safe transportation for all students. All school buses are equipped with Mobile Data Terminals which helps drivers focus on the road, manage student location information, and provide oversight of this important part of your child’s day.
Tyler Drive is a system which includes a Mobile Data Terminal and RFID Card Reader, which is mounted near the school bus driver. It provides drivers with turn-by-turn directions to each stop on their route, and manages student ridership, which is reported in real time back to the district’s transportation dispatch office.
RFID Cards
Students in grades K-2 will be issued a Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) scan card on an annual basis. This card will be used for the duration of the school year indicated on the card. Students will be required to use their cards each time they board and exit the school bus. If a student forgets or loses their card, the driver can register them manually on the Mobile Data Terminal. If a student’s ID card has been lost or stolen, they may obtain a replacement card through the transportation office.
