To Speak at a Board Meeting
The Board of Education welcomes comments from the public at its meetings, but also needs to ensure that this privilege is managed such that the Board can complete its agenda. For that reason, the Board has adopted a policy on comments by the public to the Board that sets aside fifteen minutes during each Board meeting, with a three minute per person limit unless extended by the Board. A copy of the policy will be available for public inspection at the meeting.
Community members wishing to speak during the public communication portion of the meeting are asked to fill out a Request to Speak Form and give it to the Board Clerk prior to the meeting. The Request to Speak form is available at all meetings or can be downloaded from our website.
Issues involving particular students or employees are not permissible topics for oral communications. If a community member wishes to speak about a particular student or staff matter, concerns should be directed to the Superintendent of Schools by calling 622-7125 or by email.
