The odds of receiving a perfect score on ONE standardized test are small, but to do it on two?
That’s exactly what Liverpool High School senior Matthew LaCombe has accomplished.
LaCombe received a perfect 1600 on the Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT), as well as a perfect composite score of 36 on the American College Test (ACT). Less than 1% percent of students taking each test achieve those scores.
The LHS Class of 2024 salutatorian, LaCombe also is a National Merit Semifinalist, one of approximately 16,000 students who received the designation after taking the PSATs. He is in the process of completing his college applications and wants to earn a degree in one of his favorite subjects, mathematics.
LaCombe is a member of the National Honor Society, Math Honor Society, GSA (Gay/Straight Alliance) and Math League.
